Ohio Soccer Association Announces Partnership with Nike

MAINEVILLE, OH (February 17, 2021) – Ohio Soccer Association (OSA) is pleased to announce an exciting new partnership with Nike.

“We are beyond thrilled to partner with Nike to further support our strategic growth plans throughout the State of Ohio”, said Gordon Henderson, OSA Chief Executive Officer. “Together, we can provide additional opportunities for youth to get involved with the sport as well as increased educational benefits for coaches. We are excited to have Nike as an incredible partner to help us achieve our aggressive growth goals.”

Nike has consistently demonstrated a vested interest in the sport of soccer at every level, holding partnerships with the U.S. Soccer Federation as well as US Youth Soccer. As a partner of Ohio Soccer Association, we will be working closely together to grow the game at the grassroots level and support coaching education.

According to Tim Stork, Nike’s Senior Grassroots Business Development Manager, "We are extremely proud of our partnership with Ohio Soccer Association. This partnership not only gives soccer players more opportunities to get involved with the sport, but it also reinforces Nike's overall leadership in grassroots soccer, helping to grow the game beyond where it stands today. This partnership with Ohio Soccer Association demonstrates Nike's commitment to the game. As the organization grows, Nike's continuing support will be instrumental in growing the game and the soccer community throughout Ohio."

Nike has sponsored the U.S. National Team since 1995 and has supported some of the greatest soccer players in the world — past and present. The largest building at Nike’s World Headquarters is even named after legendary player Mia Hamm.

More information regarding OSA’s partnership with Nike will be released in the coming months.
