Soccer Tips:
Avoid that
Slide Tackle!

To avoid those dreaded slide tackles, push the ball forward (but keep it pretty close to your body so another defender doesn't steal the ball away from you!) and leap over the tackler’s outstretched leg. Before you know it you'll be heading down the field towards your next goal!

Respect
the Ref!

The referee is part of the game, just like the field, the spectators, coaches, etc. Referees may not always be correct, but all players must show the proper respect to the men and women in black. Arguing will not get a referee to change his/her mind, it will only get you in trouble.

Get Your Hands Behind the Ball!

Always make sure that you get your hands behind the ball. When catching a ball that is head high, your hands should form a “W” (thumbs together and fingers spread). Oh yeah, be sure to keep your eyes on  the ball at all times!
